Update your account name or password

You can update the name on your account, or your password through your account profile.

To update your account name or password

1. Sign in to your account.
2. In the navigation bar, click My Applications.
3. Click Profile settings int he navigation area on the left.
4. Click Edit details.
5. Make the required changes in the fields provided and click Update profile.

The changes will take effect immediately.

Updating your email address

If you need to change the email address associated with your account, you must request this from our Developer Portal Administration Team through our Support page.

An organization allows you to invite members of your team to register on the Developer Portal, as well as access the applications using the credentials you have requested.

Creating an organization sets you as a Super admin, allowing you to invite team members, update team members’ profiles and change a user’s role.

Creating an Organization

Before you can invite members of your team to register on the Developer Portal, you need to create your organization.

To create an organization

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Click Create an organization in the header.
3. Enter the name of your organization (note that once the organization is created this cannot be changed), and click Create organization.
4. Your request to create an organization will be sent to our Bottomline team who will review it. You will receive an email when your request has been approved.
   

You can now invite members of your organization to create accounts.

Inviting Team Members to your Organization

Once your request has been approved, you will receive a notification via email that you can now manage your organization.

To invite a team member to your organization

1. Sign in to your account.
2. In the navigation bar, click My applications.
3. Click Users in the navigation area on the left.
4. Click Invite new user.





5. Enter the required details, select a role for the user and click Invite. For more information on roles, see User Roles on the Developer Portal . 
6. The new user will be sent an email advising them how to log in to the Developer Portal.
   

Understanding the different User Roles

User roles determine what the user can access and do in the Developer Portal. Each user is associated with a role.

There are two roles:

• Super admin
• Team member

Super admin permissions:

• Create a new application
• View access credentials for an application
• Delete API credentials
• Delete an existing application
• Invite new users to your organization
• Change roles for users

Team member's permissions:

• Create a new application
• View access credentials for an application
• Delete an existing application

Updating a User’s Profile

As a Super admin of an organization you are able to update the profile for other users in your organization.

To update a user's profile

1. Sign in to your account.
2. In the navigation bar, click My applications.
3. Click Users in the navigation area on the left.
4. In the the list of users, click Edit user for the relevant user, and update their details.
5. Click Save changes.

The changes will take effect immediately.

Changing a User’s Role

As a Super admin of an organization, you can change the role assigned to other users in your organization.

To update a user's profile

1. Sign in to your account.
2. In the navigation bar, click My applications.
3. Click Users in the navigation area on the left.
4. In the the list of users, click Edit user for the relevant user.
5. Click on the Role field and select the user's new role.
6. Click Save changes.

The change will take effect immediately.

Removing a User from your Organization

To remove a user from your organization you need to contact our support team.

In the support ticket, include:

• Your email address
• The email address of the user you wish to remove
• The name of your organization

Note: We can only act on requests of this type when sent by a Super user of the organization.

Creating an Application

To be able to consume an API, you must first create an application and associate it with the API.

To create an application:

1.   Sign in to your account.
2.   In the navigation bar, click My applications.
3.   Click Create application.
   







4.   Enter a name and a description for the application. Click Create application.

Editing an Application’s details

You can change the name and description of your application after it has been created.

To update your account name or password

1. Sign in to your account.
2. In the navigation bar, click My Applications.
3. Click More information on the application you wish to edit.
4. Click to expand the Manage applications menu, and click Edit application details.
5. In the popup, make your changes to the Name and Description fields.
6. Click Save changes.

The changes will take effect immediately.
